Poster Design - Backwards Running.

Today i learnt about the three core software used in design, this being Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. My task was to create a poster that reflected the past few tasks that i had completed, which links to memory. The image used was appropriate as she looks as if she is looking into the past as things...memories, pass her by. I chose i photo that allowed me to blend easily with very little seems.
This reflected the passing of time through street lights and moving city lights. It also depicts the pace of movement through memory by the use of the train tracks. I was able to test my editing skills using Photoshop and i think i have done well so far. If i was able to use my own photos within the task, i  believe the overall individuality of the poster would have been better. I used Illustrator for the first time today and it went rather successfully. The "backwards running" caption was almost made into a logo. I like the way in which i brought through the shocking bold red against the black and white image and it is ow a consistent theme running throughout my work. However next time with illustrator i might play around with curved writing for experimental purposes but for this task i think the font was appropriate. Finally i used InDesign for the first time today as well. It was a new concept to me however the layout of the software imitates the layout of Photoshop and so i was comfortable using it after a while. I used InDesign to add in the body text.
