WEBSITE APP




When creating the website template, i decided to go with a fresh /light / spring theme that would open the concept of a cake brand being bespoke but designer and high end. The merger of fashion detailing and branding simplicity allows for the re-invention and development of the brand. This was an exciting part of the project for me as it presented itself in the form that a live and running website would display. The project became more real when i re- designed the website. I chose to show the website in it's current form and also presented within an iPhone and iPad form. This showing variety and accessibility 'on the go'. In terms of my final outcome, creating the packaging would have increased the branding package altogether.

The Safiyas Cakes logo 

This was created in the intention of  forming a sophisticated, simplistic, elegant logo that could be seen in up market stores. The sc together reminded me of a swan which is why i stuck with the logo design. I had slight trouble when creating the logo as in illustrator getting the right curves and movement for the logo to still remain pretty and elegant proved difficult. However now after creating it i ca say that it would best help future projects indefinitely and would also be a great foundation for company logo design.

Poster designs






These 5 poster designs were created as a branding aid for Safiyas Cakes. I can picture them being dotted around the city with just the logo and title and it enticing the preferred clientele and also those appreciative of the work to find the store and purchase an item. The collection reflected one another as an m&s or Zara advert would.

Branding of Nigella was a good start fro me as i was able to visualise a food brand and understand certain marketing plays that were used to create a strong brand persona. Mrs Lawson is all about temptation, sultriness, curvaceous nature and a seduction with complex describing sentences. She as a brand was temptation especially to the male viewer with her dim twinkling light and soft blurred screens. Safiyas Cakes was great i believe as i was able take on board the strength in colour and fresh type to evoke my brand identity. It was apparent to me when re-branding this business that a certain level of sophistication was needed and so researching the branding was exciting. It opened up many flaws in other businesses and also their techniques to entice their preferred client.

These are my own hand painted images on cakes and edited as an illustration. I am in love with designer brands incorporate into cake designs. The Versace brand above represents the high end designer logos that would be on cake designs but also the illustration below is a representation of the packaging tissue illustration that would become a seasonal feature for the company's image. The illustration drawn of the two girls would be a very Parisian style inspired piece. I liked doing this particular task as i was able to incorporate my branding eye and my natural artistic skills. Next time however i will produce a larger variety more as options and diversity- and maybe show the seasonal adaptation to it.

This did prove difficult at points to get the illustration to reflect the girls in a cute but realistic way however it managed to work out in the end.
